Homo means single, So to make that work you'd need to say the whole thing.
As for the thread- It may be disgusting, but it is hidden. Although being an adult joke, I don't think most people would get it hadn't it been so continuous and long. It's not offensive, but it DOES contain a sense of paedo-ism, which in rare cases may offend a user.
