For everyone who wants to know a good tip, as Jacob_ said F8 works, but you should press F3 on startup to see available solutions.

It's saved my ass numerous times.

Lrn2antivirus. Get Eset or something and scan your stuff with Malewarebytes every 3 months or so.
Also defrag your hard drive once in a while, it'll help speed it up. Reformatting helps too

For an antivirus, i recommend BitDefender.
