As of now, Jacob_ doesn't need any. He's got more than enough to keep the site in tip-top shape. You can become a moderator by showing your dedication and knowledge of the site, contributing and helping other users, and do all you can to make the site a better place.

I belive they watch your behavior and they choose only the best, thats why i suppose Login, Paradox, and the other ones are moderators.
