Because apparently when you copy something the welds don't stay.

Well, don't use welds yet. Just use Fixed parts if you want them to stay :doubt:

If you group parts in a model, all welds between parts in the model will be copied if you copy the model itself (not just the parts in it).

No, I mean was there just one model, or did you have models inside models? The latter currently doesn't work, but I actually fixed it yesterday and it will be in the next update.

OH! That would explain it! Because it was models inside a model inside Storage and the parent model was being cloned into the World.
