Terrain Glitch - AK-47 - 06-10-2011 Here's a video: When you draw new terrain, the old one will stay "invisible" and tangible until you release the mouse button. One the second one, after I dropped the blue box, You could see that by drawing new terrain that will go over the object, the object will sink to the bottom. This works the same way with players. I wouldn't worry about number one, but number two can really bug people. RE: Terrain Glitch - noob007 - 06-10-2011 1. That's because until you release the mouse button, the new terrain is like a "preview". It's on the renderer but hasn't been updated for the physics engine. 2. I don't see how that could annoy people...? What else do you want it to do, make the objects go upward? RE: Terrain Glitch - Jacob__mybb_import1 - 06-10-2011 1st one isn't a bug. If it updated the physical terrain while you were drawing it, there would be noticeable lag. The second one would be hard to fix. When a moving part is stuck inside a fixed one, it goes toward the side that's closest, which should get it out into the open. But terrain is not actually a solid object, but a bunch of tall, narrow ones for technical reasons, so the closest way "out" gets the part stuck in an invisible seam, and it sinks due to gravity. And it's not lost forever, you should be able to grab it with the drag tool through the terrain. Both of these could be avoided by not drawing terrain when physics is on. RE: Terrain Glitch - AK-47 - 06-10-2011 Yea, I guess you're right. |
