They're search engine bots. I'm not totally sure on this, but it either means somebody's searching Buildism or the sites are looking through the files to see what's what.

On the morning when I was on nobody else was online and I saw the 3 bots. ''The sites are looking through the files to see what's what.''

Search engines have bots crawling the web all the time, to update the index.
