Any Open source or at least free Video Game Engine that supports C++ - BuildistGuard - 03-05-2013

I have Ubuntu Version 12.04, is there any Video Engine that can work with C++? I'm very interested to test my capabilities on C++. Eventually I will have to make a game engine from this that also Supports C(Programming language) and C#.

Here is one: http://www.cocos2d-x.org/

But it really depends on what type of games you wanna make, be specific.

To be specific: Sandbox Games(3D or 2D)(First or Third Person), RPGs, Life simulation, FPSes, and some City-Building Games.

I thought you said that Windows is 6000 times better than Linux....
Anyway, look at http://box2d.org/

Box2D is pretty awesome.
I don't know of many good game engines, but if you are interested in voxel-engines look no further: http://voxeljs.com/

It's free, and open-sourced, like you asked for. I've known about them for a bit.

I definitely need to have Physics in my game and it's going to be like Roblox, Minecraft, Gmod, and all these Sandbox/Simulation Games. It definitely is going to have:
*Resources Gathering
*City Building
*Natural Disasters
*Wars
*Controlling families

Something like The Sims you mean? Also I think you should remake Animal Crossing made by Nintendo with many modifications and different things, that'd be awesome.
It'd be online of course.

Here's some top-selling ideas for an Animal Crossing remake:
1. Make animal and human interspecies sex an option
2. Make everyone a shota furry
3. Make an option to be like the motherfucking Jack the Ripper and kill a villager and bury her/his body after implied rape scene, maybe not exactly in that order, and get 100,000,000 bells and send the bones to the museum after time traveling 100 years into the future
4. Add guns and gore, yeah, everyone loves bloody furry shota guro figures with guns strapped on what was left of their bullet-inflicted heads
5. After brutally murdering almost everyone you know, furry Hitler rises and becomes chancellor of the village
6. You kill him to complete the game's main goal and get to live in a post-apocalyptic world off of furniture that would've been a huge rip-off to buy from anyone still alive
7. Your name is Joseph Stalin.

Ok, but to be serious:
1. Yes it is kind of like The Sims, but you play in first and third person. You can also rule the world in the game and do whatever you want, but most of the time, I would prefer to play as a Nobody.
2. You will be able to build your city.
3. A lot of forms of terrorism.
4. Eras(Stone Age, Bronze Age, Antique age, Dark Ages, Early Modern Age, Modern Age, Future, etc) to choose from
5. Planet maps that literally loop around.
6. Gathering resources and spending them besides money.
7. Wars(You can arrange the army in Overhead view) but to fight as yourself, it has to be First or Third Person View.
8. Natural Disasters and Epidemics.
