For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - ijfeswijfae - 03-16-2013 Really, ask me completely anything about the hellhole that was formally known as Buildism. RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - Virtual - 03-16-2013 Were games decent? Kind of, and definitely much better than most of the crap that fills the games page now. RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - Virtual - 03-17-2013 Were the badges in player's profiles worth having? Yes, and I want them back. RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - Virtual - 03-17-2013 Were the forums better? Everyone was a sensitive whiny bitch, most of the mods were lazy and abusive and didn't deserve their positions, for some reason Jacob_ allowed Ashely (former mod on Buildism) to piss us off for months, and while drama was denounced, the very same people who condemned this activity fueled nearly every argument. Many arguments were had over moderators and how incompetent and useless they were, and because the mods and Jacob_ dealed with it terribly without taking any measures to understand the community's basic demands, these arguments and drama escalated even more, and the worst thing was that everyone was too much of a braindead moron to figure out just how it could've been avoided in the beginning. One of the most initially aggressive users were Broloxer, Luckyone, and Glome. Since they were RT'ers in the moment, they shitted up the forums with the most inane shit that should have never been tolerated, but it was apparently OK to give me a high-level warning for spamming in a thread that was spam instigated by these parasites while they continued flooding the forums with their garbage. The forums went to shit several times, one time it was so bad that Jacob_ had to close the site and set up another one since it was going to total anarchy because the mods went on strike, and Ashely's feelings were hurt by this worthless excuse of a user called CoderRhyne, who was also another mod. After everything was settled, the forums were back on and for some kind of deranged reason Jacob_ still allowed Ashely to shit up the forums and abuse her powers, this time being the "community manager," which at the time became synonymous to a concentration camp guard. I can explain much more of what happened during 2011 and after the site closed, but I'll just end it at this point Also, BG was part of the Illuminati and Jacob_ read too many cyberpunk magazines: http://archive.buildism.net/forum/Thread-Why-the-population-should-not-get-larger RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - Virtual - 03-17-2013 How was the average member in Buildism RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - ijfeswijfae - 03-17-2013 (03-17-2013, 01:24 AM)Virtual Wrote: How was the average member in Buildism The average active member usually posted a fair amount a day and made skins and games that mostly weren't pure shit. The average member was killed by the Illuminati. RE: For Newcomers and Re-Re's: Ask Anything about Old Buildism - Virtual - 03-17-2013 How were the skins? |
