That's not all true, The Malvinas (Their original name, not the "falklands as they call them) was from argentina, England started using it with no autorisation, and when they refused to leave, Argentina attacked. We were superior in Airforce,but due to a crappy bomb that didn't exploded when impacted England's main boat costed us the defeat.
England wanted the Malvinas because due to them being really near to the south pole, now a days they are politically fighting for the Malvinas,resently U.S.A demanded England that the Malvinas (He refered to them with that name in recognition of their true owners) should be negotioated with us.
It was a defeat that still hurts, every year we conmemorate the ones who lost their lives, we have a hymn about that and now a days the mentioning of the Malvinas makes angry to the ones who lived in that time

I have to agree with W&M on this one. It's obviously a part of South America; there are native people living on it; and Britain has no major territory near it. If they were barren and rocky and relatively uninhabitable or they were in the middle of the ocean or they were near a large British country or colony it might be different but I think the Falklands would be technically part of Argentina.

Thanks, they were uninhabitated but still inside the Argentinian Oceanic terrotiry
