We have dozens of the first type but none of the second as nobody has succeeded in finding out how to make a 2D tycoon fun and workable. If you can figure that out, I say go for it.

NASCAR is the actual sport.
Stock cars are what you drive. I think.

Paradox is correct. NASCAR stands for the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing, which I find slightly redundant.
