There were two racing ones I tried and quit.
Drift City was okay, plot was good, but the graphics were pretty bad and multiplayer racing was no fun unless you were either REALLY REALLY good (and I'm only good) or you had a better car than everyone else. Also, their inventory system was very limited. Think Minecraft, only you have no chests to put everything in.
HEAT Online had great graphics, great racing gameplay, great multiplayer... and absolutely horrible plot. I really don't need to be playing that kind of junk.
There's also one that's from the video game series my favorite Minecraft mod was based off of, Myst Online: Uru Live Again. But my graphics card can't get past Relto without causing the BSOD.

The only MMO I ever played was Runescape, but that was a very long time ago. I quit after I realized that it was a waste of time.
I tried playing Planeshift (http://www.planeshift.it/ ), which is pretty cool simply because it's the first open source MMO. I quit because it wasn't easy to get started (killing rats in the sewers, then walking for 30 minutes IRL to sell them... seriously?) and the world was small, but that was in 2008 so it might be better now.
