Should I get Gimp and stop using paint.net?

I use both, however, I mainly use PDN. I only used Gimp when I was stuck on the old linux computer [it's dead now]. Gimp has a better cropping tool* than Paint.Net it's like the one in PS but less precise.

The one where you can highlight around something and cut it from a picture.
