How do I insert an object into my game from the web?
#1
I'm really into game making here and I will be learning LUA.

How can I insert a object from the web to my game?

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean adding an image to a box so that it looks like, say, a duck, instead of a yellow box?

Well lets say I wanted to insert a rubber duck into my game - cant I just use a picture from the Internet of one and then upload it into my game?

No, what you do is you make a box or circle or triangle in the world, depending on how you want your 'duck' to act with physics, and then in the top right of the screen there should be a little painting icon. If not, click on your box/circle/triangle so that it's highlighted in white. Click that painting icon and there should be a little window that pops up. Insert the URL of your image (if you have an image on your computer that you want to use, use a free uploader website like tinypic or imgur) and then adjust the properties of the Texture object that appears inside the box/circle/triangle until you're happy with it.
