I've made like three models with over 1500 and 1 with 4000+

Models never sold well...mostly because people eventually took them and got THEIR copy sold more. Like my plunger, and glue, my DS, etc.

Thats why with my mansion I made sure to add a script that adds in unremovable messages saying I made it :>

well pretty close to unremovable theres 5 scripts that add the message just incase someone finds one and there in about 7500 bricks so lol at the people trying to remove them.

All depends on making the takes propagate early. Make ads for them.

Thats what I did at first, now I just let them sit there and let nature take its course.

Oh ya I keep running ads until I get about 1000 I have one model that I've never even advertised and it's getting about 50 takes a week it's at about 1550 right now.
