Unless the term "ban staff" was exclusively copyrighted, it wouldn't apply.
I mean, you can still write in a book "They went to the store and got a few Cokes" without owing Coca-Cola any money.

Really? I wonder how much music copyrights are worth then.
They last for 80 years after the end of the writer.
As opposed to general copyrights, which expire after 80 years of the copyright being issued. (Which is why there are all those Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland things.)
