Put the template anywhere on your PC, then use a program like paint.net or something to edit it
Then go on "Skins" and upload yours

This is a skin template I use, it is kind of lame, but can still be useful.
The faces show which way the character is facing when moving,
T = Torso
S = Side of Torso
RA = Right Arm
LA = Left Arm
RL = Right Leg
LL = Left Leg
