360 is a lot better. Better games, better interface, better controllers... Should I go on?
But, what you should do is get a better video card for your computer and install Steam.

They aren't QUITE the same... from what I've seen, 360 is more "high-tech" -- they have more "this system only" games than PlayStation, they have the Kinect, but PlayStation is what I've always used, and it has the 6-Axis controller system.

Also, PS3 can play Blu-Ray. As far as I know, X-box can't.

The only reason I would ever get a PS3 would be to get InFAMOUS.
But I would recommend getting a 360 Slim. They are also making Minecraft for X-Box soon and X-Box has Halo games ^_^
