I regret taking computer programming at my school.

It is a terrible class... it gives me nightmares.

This is the "programming language" we use.... http://alice.org/

I looked it up on Wikipedia and this is what it says "Alice is designed to appeal to specific subpopulations not normally exposed to computer programming, such as female students of middle school age"

wtf.................. I was hoping for a useful programming language not this crap

I took a Computing in the Modern World class last year, and we used that.

That class was probably the biggest waste of time ever... the teacher didn't know anything about computers or programming, she just used a book. Everyone just played Counter-Strike: Source and Minecraft all the time.

ALICE is actually a good program for teaching Java, but only if your teacher knows what they're doing.

Our teacher does nothing but give us the page number of a book and the book doesn't explain anything it just barely says what we have to do.

I hate the class so much and my school doesn't allow schedule changes... it sucks...

Oh and I got detention because I didn't "save the file properly"

You're right, I should type up some php stuff on notepad and turn that in instead.

Btw, I looked over the site and it's SOOOO BAD!
I think I might get nightmares for the next few days from the logo they have. And I was also looking over the details and it says-
Quote:It uses 3D graphics and a drag-and-drop interface to facilitate a more engaging, less frustrating first programming experience.
That's no way to learn programing!

I looked at Alice once a few years ago.

Roblox is better for learning programming. Seriously.

I never had a class for this yet, but I am glad I only learn how to use Microsoft Office now.

"ALICE" looks extremely trashy, of course it could be good with correct use...
BUT DRAG N' DROP.

Also you got a detention for not saving a file right? What? That's not a legit reason. :/

It's funny because this guy that sits next to me hates the class as much as I do and we decided not to do any of the work in the class and work on a first person shooter using alice. It's pretty cool so far lol
