Eh, I like the smell of rain too but it doesn't have a calming effect on you like vanilla does.

My favorite smell is the wintry chill. It just has that distinct smell to it that I love.
I hate winters without snow though.

That smell you get in spring time when it stormed all day yesterday and the sun is out this morning and there's a gentle breeze blowing over the fields of grass and dandelions and clover and through the freshly grown leaves and there's no car exhaust or decomposing leaf fumes being carried with it.
