How about a random math debate?

But we are not talking about programming, we're talking about maths. I was just saying that x IS x, it can't be anything else...

If X cannot be anything but X, then X + Y = Z is false because you can't add a letter. For it to work, X = 1 or X = 0 or X = 96,431,413, but X cannot equal just X.

You win this round Qwerker... But I did clearly state what the value of x was.

If you say "x = x", that's like saying "A blahbderschninky is a blahbderschninky". It won't help anyone else understand what X, or a blahbderschninky, is.

I said x can be anything, I was just stating x can equal x; x meaning the infinite value...

So x = x

That's just like saying 1 = 1.

Sure, for any value of 1 that equation is true, but who cares?

x is the infinite value, I'm just saying that y is the infinite value and z is the infinite value's answer

Unless z is already defined prior to that equation.
