Recently, a lot of people (to some extent, myself included) have "exploited" a certain feature of the global chat to use HTML and CSS in it.
Now, small images like smileys and text enhancing italics and underlines and whatnot are one thing, but autolooping videos, redirects, tornado abstract destroyers and automatic Japanese babble are another. So until Jacob_ can put a restriction on some of the more annoying or chaotic forms of HTML, please don't use the HTML exploit. Things like <b> and <i> and <u> probably won't get you punished, and small <img>s and non-autoplaying videos are borderline acceptable, but most other things, such as autoplaying media and posting anything that prevents the chat from being functional, may get you a warning or, if repeated, a one-day ban. It can disrupt people's ability to do other things on the site.
