The way it was written overall was mediocre. It really wasn't moving and it didn't make me want to stop and think. Half of the first book was about Katniss and Peta? getting makeovers and going to parades, and the real action did not happen to the end; even that I was disappointed in. Maybe I hate it because so many people like a bad book.

I know about the makeovers and parades and all that, I didn't really like those parts that much, It really starts at the beginning of the hunger games in the actual book like the fate of the District 1 boy and Glimmer.
I bet the other books might be better.

Gee, I read the first book (as part of a class reading thing) like, two, three years ago? We partially read the second book, and that was it.
