Wait a second... I don't think that's fair. If you type something and realize that it's breaking the rules and you edit it so it isn't breaking the rules then there is nothing bad about it...

No, I mean something with intent. We'll know the difference between a typo like shirt. But something like absolute spam to something else, that is an offense.

What is it offending if they change the spam to something useful?

Because they shouldn't have been spamming in the first place.

Yes but if they edit it to something useful it isn't spam anymore.

But they still spammed, changed or not, and that's against the rules.
