I must concur with some of you, as I do feel that this thread is very needed and proper. Mini-modding should never be allowed, even if the mini-mod is only trying to help by posting a friendly reminder on the forums. This is a job that is meant for the moderators to complete, and mini-mods don't make the staff members' job easier by any means.
I don't even see mini-modding to be proper when it comes to responding to a spammer, telling him / her to not spam, or even replying "stop!" Just press the report button, send a report, and it will be taken care of. Members who respond to rule-breakers with a mini-mod attitude are only further worsening the situation and adding to the fire.
Sometimes, the mini-mod makes a wrong accusation to the rule-breaker, and this will make matters very bad generally speaking.
