Is it supposed to be some sort of a creepypasta?
---
Googles of course it is.

This is smile.jpg =
Origin
Smile.jpg’s true origin is unknown, but is believed to be first posted on the /x/ board on 4chan. The meme consists of a disturbing copypasta story, accompanied by a photoshopped picture of a dog. According to the article (which is just fake creepypasta, anyways), Smille.jpg was first discovered in 1992. It is because of the usual invalidities of creepypasta, that the origin of Smile.jpg is still unknown.
This meme will probably always be used based on it’s consistancy to make everyone have very little amounts of sleep.
The Story
The story tells of a college student, looking for content to write about for an assignment. He gets a hold of a story from a woman who is traumatized by the image and later learns that Smile.jpg lead her to kill herself. Smile.jpg is told to cause epileptic fits during sleep, and the dog in the picture tells you to “spread the word” and only then it will leave your dreams alone. The college student ends up spreading the word by attaching the picture to the end of the article.
The Image
Part of the legend is that very few people have seen the original image and that most images on the internet currently are just fakes.
