How to deal with Trolling on Buildism

You most likely heard of trolling and trolls can be really a pain. Here is how you deal with trolls of all kinds.

If he/she is trolling you on a forum:

Step 1: Do not respond to the troll. Trolls love attention and if you respond back at them, they will troll you worse.
Step 2: Ask him/her in good faith, good manners to tell them to stop trolling you.
Step 3: If the trolls don't stop, tell a moderator or a administrator what the troll is doing.
Step 4: If the troll isn't stopping, put him/her on a ignore list.

If he/she is trolling you by messaging:

Step 1: Report the message to a moderator and/or a administrator.
Step 2: Don't respond to the troll aka Don't feed the troll. The more you respond, the worse the troll will troll you.
Step 3: If the troll does not stop, ignore his/her message and delete them.
Step 4: If the troll does not stop and none of the above works, put his/her name on the ignore list.

If the he/she is trolling on your games/user page

Step 1: Try in good faith and honesty ask the troll to stop trolling you. Do this only once.
Step 2: If the troll does not stop when requested, ignore him, he/she will most likely stop by then.
Step 3: If the troll does not stop even when ignored, ask an Moderator, Administrator or the Site Owner to intervene.
