Based on previous experiences with junior-high-schoolers, I'm inclined to think SK is telling the truth here, sadly...
What Duck is saying is that they act nice in front of the teachers so that the teachers don't catch them bullying/annoying you, not in some plot to make sure they don't believe you if you tell on them.

I've been bullied before and that is exactly what they do.
they don't act nice in front of the teachers to make your story unbelievable they just dont want the teachers to see them punching you or whatever because they will get in trouble
