Back in its day(about when Jacob_ was born), there was a popular game named Imperialism, it is pretty much based on literal Imperialism, which incase you don't know, is pretty much Russian Empire, British Empire, French Empire, etc.
This game has died, since 2001. I really saw good potential in this game and wish to revive it, in this version - it'll be heavily based on WW1 and WW2. You'll have more resources, you'll have constructable buildings, you'll have the ability to make new cities. There are 2 factions, based on the major remaining empires during the World Wars - German and British. You get an imaginary land of your own name in whichever side you choose - with unique troops depending on what you choose, for example, during WW1 and you chose German - you'll have access to Zeppelins, during WW1 and you chose British, you'll have access to Tanks.
It does qualify as Imperialism, 2 empires are competing.
