Buildism is not a selfish game unlike ROBLOX.

That was very recent.

Point?

Very recent that I had no idea, but still, with the money he makes, he can still keep buildism running without having to be bankrupt without a membership.

Fun helpful guy Wink

We have been running fine for 7 + months with not a penny to make. ROBLOX had ads since the beginning.

ROBLOX pays about 2000/mo for servers.
In comparison to the amount from membership, this is nothing...

That doesn't count for how much they have to pay in taxes and for their programmers/moderators.

Also the point of a business is to make money not to barely earn a profit.

Those Data Persistence computers? That's a HUGE bank of computers, and not just some Dell towers either. Those probably costed in the thousands of dollars.

In addition to that, they advertise on other sites (INCLUDING OURS ON THE FRONT PAGE!!!!one!eleven), they have a paid staff, and it is a corporate buisness -- not a little indie project like Buildism.

From deducting everything I came to the conclusion that the staff is paid 26$/hr.
Telamon laughed and said they made more, that means they pay less for servers than I assumed.

A server tower can run multiple rooms using multiple open ports simultaneously.
I also threw in the monthly bandwidth amount in my calculation*
The server and it's bandwidth are separate amounts.

Do you have a source of him saying that? Because I remember him refusing to give a friend of mine finance information after he posted some statistics around Christmas about how many people bought the BC/TBC/OBC presents.

I wrote about the BC/TBC/OBC presents at the time.
He didn't give a number, he just said $26 was a low number, implying it's more than that.

I think I have it.
No the original thread is gone :T
I have the repost...

HanSolo966 was the one who posted about it at the time. He got Telamon to respond on his Twitter about it. I'll try and find the Tweet if you want, but it was around Christmas last year. Which means, basically about 2 hours of scrolling down a screen to get to that date that he posted it. (Twitter really does need some sort of sorting or search engine with Tweets)
