Why not just go rescue her? She must be feeling the same way, I mean who wouldn't?! Be the hero..in your own story, live a little, and don't give up on hope! We all need a little faith, trust, and ofcourse pixie dust!

200 miles is a long way, especially when you're not even old enough to drive a car and because your dad hates Social Security numbers you're not going to any time soon (and to be honest I don't really care; Ashely should know well enough why).
And even though I changed the name of IWouldIfICouldButICant, I just can't change my personality. I'm no hero. I'm just another shy, oft-depressed, socially-awkward adolescent geek who lacks initiative.

When do you get a car? Maybe you could go to the library programs where she lives?

As I said... not only am I skittish about getting in a car wreck (the way I drive Gran Turismo and even NASCAR '08 works for those games but there's no damage in GT4, and there's an instant rewind button and autobrakes in the other) but my dad hates Social Security numbers and you really need one of those to get a license.
Who knows, maybe in 4 or 5 years... but that's a third of my life and most of it that I can remember. Plenty of time to go insane. Or rather, more insane.

Better to be insane than to be depressed, I suppose. Insert Marvin the Paranoid Android reference here.
