This is a list I am compiling of free music clips to be used in 2DWorlds games. Authors whose works will likely be added are Joshua Flynn (raptor980 on SoundCloud), Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), ParagonX9 (on Newgrounds) and myself (Qwertygiy on SoundCloud).
All clips are between 30 and 100 seconds long, smaller than 1.5 MB, and are not fully loopable. However, many of them are looped internally. If you want a pure loop, you can download the free audio editing program Audacity, which I used to create these clips.
Note: Some sounds with intense drums or bass may sound slightly clipped or harsh; this is likely because of me saving them at 128 KB/S quality for minimum file size.

Comment: These would be a good choice for an "unsatisfactory ending" screen, or a slow-paced level without much intensity.

Quote:From Chipper Doodle v2, by Kevin MacLeod
Comment: This is a bright, bouncy tune (though not too bouncy!) and is good for 'average' work -- nothing super intense like PvP or very relaxed like solo building, but anywhere in between.

Comment: This is a synth piece that would be great for a boss battle, but is not over-the-top dramatic or intense.

Comment: This song is part piano, part dance beat, part synth bass. Some segments are only one, some are a couple, some are all three.

Comment: There really are no words that can accurately describe this song. So, I'll list the instruments: drums that can be called 'average' only because they are neither inadequate nor over the top; a synth bass with excellent usage of modulation; some synth hit effects; a smooth synth lead in one portion; and a light piano lead in another.

Comment: Same clips as above, plus one more that I wasn't able to loop satisfactorily in the original.

Comment: This is actually the full song, because it's so short and it's all one theme that melds together well and is not easily splittable. Could work for an introductory menu screen very nicely.
