Contest Idea

If I gave the top 2 contestants a free Minecraft giftcode, would that get you guys to make some good games?

To win, games would have to use Lua and I would have to have fun playing them, so you couldn't collude to make crappy games with minimal effort.

Opinions?

Would the semi-community-project Buildismaran count? Tongue

I don't have enough money to give gift codes to everyone that participated in a community project. Tongue

Sounds cool.

I've been wanting another contest.

Also the games need to have a purpose, and you can't make games with a purpose without scripting.

Allowed:
- Buildism Capture the Flag
- Terrain Wars
- Survive the falling rocks
- Paintball
- 2D Minecraft clone
- Call of Buildism

Not allowed:
- Climb up a 100000ft tall mountain!
- Exploration games (they can be cool, but this contest is for the high-quality, interactive kind of games you find on online game websites)
- Push Jacob_ off a cliff!
- Any game where there is only one or two thing to do and it isn't much fun.
- Any game that I can't stand to play for more than 5 minutes

Is Mayonaise Wars allowed?
Any posts you have will make no sense as a response to this sig.

Might make a "Buildism Challenge" game for it. Basically mini-games, might add some of the games to Buildismaran afterwards.

If you can find a way to make Mayonaise Wars I certainly think so. I'd definitely want to play it, at least to figure out exactly what it is!

It has to be original.
