Gameboy. 2006. Ha, that's a good one. HA. 'Scuse me, I think I'm gonna go play my Donkey Kong cartridge from '94.
Back on topic:
There are a lot of books I like. Too many to pick a favorite. But Gordan Korman is pretty good, if you don't mind completely random shifts of plot thrown throughout a whole lot of play-by-play action. And manages to make it all halfway believable, too.

Currently I am reading Red Mars, a great book on the future, especially Mars, terraforming Mars, and problems, especially socially, which even has religion in it.
