The News Section

Please Bring back the News Section on the main page. I don't feel like finding the new news in the News & Updates.
How may times have I said "news" in that?

A couple months ago I had some people review the site, and they agreed that the news section was basically useless. Last year, when news threads rarely got replies and updates were straightforward enough to describe in the thread subject, it was a good feature, but now it is just an (as the reviewer put it) "unordered list of dates."

It was kind of pointless, just go to the News & Updates forum.

I guess I could live with that.

I visit the forums everyday. I'd notice a new update when I see the editor update.

Suggestion to fixing that:

Title format

Date: Main subject

For instance,

Quote:8/10/11: Weld bug fixed

8/12/11: TRIANGLES!

8/13/11: Triangle bug fixed

And then you go into detail in the main post.

Exactly.
