Yesterday, I considered shutting down Buildism. I was talked out of it, but there are still some things that you guys (I'm talking to the veteran members here) need to do if you want this to be a positive community.
I don't care if you're not interested in helping a new website develop, though I don't know why you're here if you're not. But it is a problem if you're going to ruin it for the new people as well.
- Report bugs if you find them. Yesterday I discovered a bug that made it impossible to save games that had been unreported for FIVE DAYS. And I just restarted the multiplayer server, apparently it's been broken for who knows how long and nobody even bothered to tell me about it. I fix game-breaking bugs like that as soon as I hear about them, but I won't know unless someone tells me!
- Be constructive. I'm not going to force everyone to make games or skins or character accessories, but if your sole purpose on Buildism is to post spam on the forums all day, then I hate you. I don't have a problem with you only using the forums, but if all of your posts aren't helpful, then it isn't any better than someone uploading worthless skins and games every day and making it harder for new people to find the good stuff.
