I changed the mass of my ship, like jacob said (in a previous forum helping me learn how to make floating things) but when i change it from the random mass it already had to anything else, it just tips back, then capsizes forward... help?

You have to make sure the mass is balanced, or it will do that.
Or you could cheat and insert a FixedRotation to keep it from tilting at all.
