I think MC has a "portable" version, assumably for iPhone, so it might be possible.

It's for Xperia and they hired someone to rewrite it, I don't know if they had to rewrite for the droid version though

Just found this on Wikipedia:

So yes, Java is not supported on iPhones or iPad, so the game itself wouldn't be able to be made mobile, though the site should.
