  Buildism Easter Egg Hunt!
Posted by: Jacob__mybb_import1 - 04-08-2012, 04:00 AM - Forum: News - Replies (35)

Today marks Buildism's first egg hunt! It won't crash the servers, or at least I hope so.

I've hidden 9 "eggs" around the site. They are in the form of random sequences of letters and numbers, like this: fbade9e36a3f36d3d676c1b808451dd7

They all require a bit of technical knowledge to get: they aren't in plain sight, but you won't have to hack my account to access them. If nobody finds all of the eggs by Friday, the winner will be the person who has the most.

Prize is a lot of Bits, plus a yellow name (the Buildism Contest Winner rank.)

Once you find an egg, copy and paste it here: http://buildism.net/egghunt.php

I'm going to print a few of these and post them around my school (in between the Student Government ads and PHP Coding Party fliers.) Does anyone else want to try? http://i.imgur.com/sBZAY.jpg

  The Mexican-American Theory
Posted by: noob007 - 04-07-2012, 02:51 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Du harrro guys.

So, just to spark a discussion, here's something interesting a friend of mine was talking about:

Take a moment to think about America. In reality, everyone who lives there is a foreigner except for the natives, since the rest came only one or two hundred years ago. I think it's fair to still call these people foreigners.

Now think about populations. Hardly any American (US person, that is) has native American blood, only very few. On the other hand, a huge portion of Mexicans are considerably part Native American. What does this tell us? Mexicans are more native than Americans, or less foreigners.

Now, from the philosophical/theoretical point of view, what should this tell us? That Mexicans should be able to immigrate freely into the USA, since they are, after all, more native than Americans (US people). This, of course, is far from true and makes little sense in the practical and real world, for people don't care much anymore about actual culture and origins. Nationality is what matters more now.

It just may be interesting to think about that.

Lead programmer of Roblox: John Shedletsky

Lead programmer of Minecraft: Jens Bergensten

Sole programmer of Buildism: Jacob Morgan

Any guesses what my first initial is? Wink

Well I'd like to ask everyone an honest question, and, despite the subject's current unpopularity among the community of Buildism as of now, I'm sure you'd all hate on this very thought.

The question is do you think that Kieron is a good (war) historian.

Pretty spontaneous, I know, but he has major doubt in himself, and it's because of low self esteem from CERTAIN OCCURANCES. I mean despite all of your opinions and dislike of his word choice, I think that he is pretty good at knowing what's what when it comes to this subject, and I think you should at least acknowledge this too! I mean, half of the things he brings up when it comes to this corner of education I know jack all about!!

So, yeah, the question remains :o ....

  The Food Game

Me and former Mod Sazaho were chatting and we out of no where came up with this idea for a new forum game. It's pretty simple all you have to do is post something to eat for an example some Ice Cream (<0o).

Let's begin....

Hmmm I want A slice of pizza <l
