I want my tools to be able to work in multiplayer without making a load of boxes though :/

Nope. The boxes won't be local to the user. If you used the boxes as buttons, other users will still be able to see it.

The only thing you could do is generate the boxes by script, then insert the etc. 
 
Which would take about 5000 lines for a fully working one.
