You mean American Christians.
You go to Canada, Australia, Britain. Actually, any ex-European Colony that was founded on Christianity, and still remains Christian and meet the Christians there. It seems only the American Atheists must question the Christians.

Not all Christians are ignorant.
I'm part Lutheran, and all Christians who I've met have been more accepting than any other religion for me.
Hindus and Buddhists are very welcoming too.
