Yeah, but Pokemon doesn't have a story, it's just capturing monsters, using them in a duel and win.
Sonic has been here longer than Pokemon. Sonic characters have depth. Sonic wins.

Shadow can wield guns, ride a motorbike, glide, has so many clones and can't die. Never seen a cartoon character can do that, oh and he's a robot.
