Because children's shows can't have characters?

Dont put words in my mouth, Im saying that i dont see a "complex character development" in a freacking kids show involving ponies flying around and drinking tea.

That's where you're wrong. The show has more than enough action to satisfy the average person.

Winnie the Pooh has complex character development, etc.

Let's all go watch Winnie the Pooh.

There's a whole nother argument.

The latest Winnie the Pooh TV shows stink. The Super Sleuths and whatever the puppets one was -- The Book of Pooh, I think -- were not that good at all. Even when I was in the intended age range.

But the original, from about 20 years ago, is quite nice.

Same thing with MLP, except for the fact that the new generation is actually good. Generation 2, 3 and Newborn Cuties was the worst thing ever put on television.
