An old program called MAGIX Music Maker. It is currently at Music Maker 17, but I have Music Maker 10.

It's kinda old slang, it comes from the Spanish Peso, which was equivalent to a dollar. It could be divided into 8 reals or 'bits' ("pieces of eight!"), hence 2 bits for 1/4th of a dollar.
