As you've probably found out, port forwarding is a VERY complicated process that is easy to mess up along the way; in addition, some routers and computers will lag horrifically when you try to do it.

There is a way around this, albeit not a perfect one: Hamachi.

How to set up a server with Hamachi

Part 1: Set Up a Network
First, you need to boot up Hamachi. Choose a name for your computer (everyone can see this so it's a good idea to use your Buildism username), power it on, and click "Create a Network". Choose a name and a password (the password can be incredibly simple) for your network.

Part 2: Start a Server
This step and the next are only needed if you are hosting a server, not joining.
Click Launch Editor from the top of the Buildism screen, or click Build on one of your games. You do NOT need to set the multiplayer setting to on. Then, at the top of the Buildism screen, click Tools and Start Server. Pick a port (22222 is good) and you are now hosting a server in that window.

Part 3: Telling People about Your Server
Make a thread in the server section. Make sure to include the Hamachi network name, the password, your Hamachi address (something like 5.122.43.139), and the port for your server.

Part 4: Joining a Server
If are not logged into Hamachi yet (hosters have to always have Hamachi powered on to host), do so. Click Join Network after powering on, and type in the network name and password. You should now see it pop up in the list on the left.
Then, open a Buildism window by clicking Launch Editor. If you are hosting, you need to have a different window up or it will close the server! Click Tools and Join Server. Type in the Hamachi address instead of the IP, and the port. It should open up the server!


Advantages to Hamachi

• You don't need to mess around with port forwarding, which can get messy.
  
• You can see everyone who is connected to your server, and prevent them from joining if you have to by evicting them from the network.
  
• Everyone who joins the server views it in editor mode, making it possible to do very easy collaboration.
  

• Your server doesn't show up on the server list.
  
• Users have to have Hamachi downloaded, powered on, and connected to join.
  
• Ladders don't work.
  
• Anyone can wreck the server, quite easily -- even unintentionally.
  

Here is a screenshot of what I've done so far.

We launch decoy nukes over America, Canada and Russia from Sumantrina(Our imaginary island). Instead of exploding they, randomly burst SAM Turrets, which will wipe out air units.

We then launch 3 nukes into the Thermosphere, which detonate up there to cause an EMP for Canada, America and Russia.

The EMP will set off the countrie's nukes, wiping out several parts while destroying the Electricity, we then send A stealth bomber to San Francisco and Los Angeles to wipe out the Westen Coast of America, where the invasion begins.

We send over Infantry Units to invade the Westen Coast, if it fails, then we launch 2 nukes onto the West Coast, annihilating the American Troops. Our troops then march through to Washington DC and wipe out border guards, then send a nuke over to Washington and wipe out the White House, drastically decreasing America's Morale. During this time, the scientists are thinking of creating 20 Tsar Bomba's and launching them on Major American Cities. America cannot retaliate with Nuclear Weapons as the EMP Blew them all up.

The Sumantrinan Troops will continue upwards through America to wipe out the Canadians. Seeing this war, Britain would soon get involved and send Fifth-generation Fighter Jets to help out Canada.
While troops retreat into America, the British are un-aware of the stealing of Sixth-Generation Fighter Jets who then send the files to Sumantrina, ready for development.

Sumantrina put up a hard fight against The Canadian-British Forces until Tsar Bomba's arrive. As America is destroyed, a mobile launcher is placed to wipe out Northen Canada. Troops then fall back to the West Coast where they take the conquered North of Canada. Sumantrinans eventually arrive with the N.S.(Nat's Ship) Sumantrina, the second strongest ship in the world, who then launches an ICBM at Mid-Canada, to divert the Canadian-British forces paths. The Sumantrinans had forgot the British Nuclear Arsenal, as 3 were sent directly over Northen-Canada, in order to wipe out many Sumantrinan Forces, The British just had no clue that Sumantrinan forces had gone over to the East-Coast Of America in order to surprise attack. Sixth-Generation Fighter Jets were ready for deployment and were soon sent to annihilate British forces and Canadian, successfully winning this caused total defeat of North America, as Mexico was an ally and Bermuda was fighting alongside Britain, the Carribean didn't count.

If Sumantrinan forces wanted to get to Russia, Europe would need to have been under control, the First step: Portugal & Spain.

With no EMP over Europe, the invasion of Europe would be a tough one, Sumantrina had knocked the UK. The only direct Nuclear threat was France unless NATO handed over the nukes to Germany, Beligium, Luxembourg and Italy.

Arriving at the top left corner of Spain, we were alerted by the 90,000 strong Spanish Army, with Sixth-Generation Fighters, ICBMs and Tsar Bomba's, they pose no threat. As we took down the Spaniens, Portugal decided to join us in our European Invasion. Eventually arriving at Madrid. We had Havoc ready to destroy the cities, and B-1B Lancer's ready for carpet bombing. Ruiz-Gallardon was our main target. The Havoc took out the borders of Madrid as we advanced. By now, Australia had heard of the news and were sending infantry over to Spain. Our Havocs took down Australian Boats and Infantry, some 5000 Australians arrived at Spain alive or injured.

We successfully left a crater in Madrid and had officially conquered Spain, next was the Nuclear Threat. The French ran as they saw us, we knew something was up. We charged forward and found some blueprints, it appeared they were planning a Second D-Day, One from Britain, another from Germany.

I believe that leads to some virus and suggest not clicking it. And Jacob, can you remove it if and when you see it.

Next, you get a PHP script that can take that website and make it look like its from the '90's.
