Question Need a little help scripting
Posted by: Virtualdarks - 07-31-2011, 11:47 PM - Forum: Scripting - Replies (10)

Well, I'm fresh here from ROBLOX. I been a 3 year veteran there, and still playing it. The Lua conversion is getting me a little. Here's the script I wrote:

while true do

newboxo = create("Box")
newboxo.Name = "newboxo"
newboxo.Size = Vector3.new(3,3)
newboxo.Parent = game.World
newboxo.Position = script.Parent.Position
newboxo.Fixed = false
sleep(2)
newboxo:remove()

end

What's suppose to happen is that a new "Box" appears at the position of the currently existing Box, then drop, then 2 seconds later, removes itself.

If something in the script is obsolete in Buildism, please tell me.

Yes I do know RBX.Lua. It's just much simpler in ROBLOX. Sad

  I feel un known and left out...
Posted by: Chaos - 07-31-2011, 10:52 PM - Forum: The Community - Replies (23)

Does anyone even know who I am? I feel invisible.

I'll make a big written post, and the one sentence post will get quoted and noticed...

I also feel like I'm none of your friends! Only glome really talks to me and it's because I've known him 10x as long as you guys. In fact, I brought him here.

  Advanced Buildism Suit
Posted by: Sazaho - 07-31-2011, 09:00 PM - Forum: Skins - Replies (6)

This skin is my 'great comeback'.

I will now go through the details.

Male Version

This is an unofficial Buildism suit. Using the main colour of Buildism (navy blue) this proffesional looking suit is suitable for both newbies and scripters/builders/skin makers alike. If it was real, I would say it's hand woven from the finest materials in the land- but it's not, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that this skin took a lot of hand placed pixels and corrected errors to finish it in the state it is in. The style it is made with is enriched from the simple and original style of the default skins, new and old. The suit in totality is enhanced in a basic but efficient way, consisting of lighter colours placed in the inside edges of the outlines. The head and face have but one alteration- the eyes and mouth have been coloured completely black, instead of the lighter black originally used. While making the skin, I noticed that there is now an advanced feature, so I compromised the completed skin with the new advanced template.

Female Version

In a great attempt to bring feminism back to Buildism and by request of the public, There is now a Female version for all the ladies who want to look important and professional. At first, I thought there would be no other way to make it than with minor edits, but in retrospect the edits made were quite problematic to create, but it came through okay.

The same details apply for the style and design of the skin, but I hope that you all like it.

You'll have to wait a little longer for female version while I fix up loose ends.

Before I leave you I would just like to wish you all good luck in any future project you make. Skin or game.

Thank you for reading what I have to say and I hope you like the skins.

  Skin Template problem.
Posted by: Sazaho - 07-31-2011, 08:28 PM - Forum: Suggestions - Replies (5)

When making your skins, everything may seem fine around the leg area, but when uploaded, the legs are distorted, leaving any details put in left out and the remainder of your awesome graphic work out of place and essentially ruined. It is ,to me, impossible to compromise for this problem and I am requesting that it be fixed. Thank you.

  [split] My opinion about Buildism
Posted by: Counterclockwork - 07-31-2011, 08:12 PM - Forum: The Community - Replies (27)

Not to insult or offend, but why is there so much trafficing from ROBLOX players coming here more than anything? There's images of it in the skins, there's places, the whole set-up is almost exactly like ROBLOX. I don't mean to be "THAT GUY" but, this is about the 4th site I've joined like this that didn't work out later on and shut-down.

All in all I'd like to help you actually though, I like taking part in these things whether I've got my own second on thoughts on still. I've been training in the Multi-Media Design field for a few years now, and I think I could offier a lot more high-quality help.

  Portal 2 Co-op playthrough!
Posted by: Paradox - 07-31-2011, 07:44 PM - Forum: Creations - Replies (5)

Well, I was bored and now I'm making a Portal 2 co-op playthrough with DsiDewd and JSG.

[WARNING: SPOILERS]

It will be in 5 parts, 1 part for each section of the Co-op storyline.
Here's the order of the people who star in it:
Part 1 - Me and DsiDewd
Part 2 - Me and JSG
Part 3 - Me and DsiDewd
Part 4 - Me and JSG
Part 5 - Me and DsiDewd

Simple.
